Back from Hawaii

We are back.  Our ‘actual’ last day was really Saturday as we did not fly out until 7 PM.  Heidi spent one last day on the beach in the morning.  We then packed up and headed over to the east side of the island. We enjoyed doing some whale viewing and shopping on the way.  Sonja and Noah were staying at a hotel on the east side for two more days, so we went over there to visit a place called ‘Dragons Teeth’.  A weird lava formation that looks like big jagged teath caused by lava running into a strong surf.  We could see why this happened, as this part of the island was getting beaten by huge waves.  We spent time enjoying the surf, then retired for a long lunch at the restaurant at the Plantation Course at Kapalua.  An amazing course that we did not get a chance to play, but Dexter did enjoy seeing the Mercedes-Benz Championship trophy in the clubhouse.
